Bruce Fein, on Bill Moyers’ Journal last night, very clearly laid out the case for impeachment of the President and Vice President. Sure, others have done the same, but Bruce Fein writes articles of impleachment for a living (among many other things — he holds positions at both prominent right-wing think tanks the Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute.
He was a member of the Reagan Justice Dept., serving as associate deputy attorney general under former President Ronald Reagan.
So when this guy says impeach a Republican, he’s not blowing smoke up your ass. He’s probably, in fact, jeopardizing future employment and alienating friends.
Folks, if you’re not going to listen to Fein’s rationale for impeachment, I’m just going to have to presume that you would walk off a cliff behind Bush and Cheney. Of course, at the last minute, Dick would find a way to use your body and the President’s as an impact cushioning device, but you’d still be dead.
Click here, watch the show online (I will magically make it pop up in a new window for you) and notice I’ve created a new category (on a TV blog? Yeah, that’s just a sign of the times, folks) called “Impeachment — Bush Administration 2007-8.”
I had this clip in my “Big Screens” section earlier this week and I’m placing it here for ready reference.
Bill Moyers, my hero!
